About Us

We are proud to be from Wisconsin, a local community farm, located a just few minutes south of Madison in the countryside of Fitchburg.

We think Fresh, Local food, is the most delicious because its grown with care right here. You pick it at peak flavor, and enjoy it fresh.

We believe in Fun! Bring your friends and family for a wholesome outdoor activity at our farm.

It all started when Vern and Betty Forest bought the farm and started planting 1000s of apple trees in the 1980s-90s, and added their Norwegian flair to the farm.

Over the decades, Eplegaarden grew to become a favorite apple and pumpkin destination every Fall. Many school kids and familiy groups gathered here for horse drawn hayrides, and hikes up the hillside to pick apples. Farm managers Rami and Tom carried the traditions forward and improved the orchard and farm each year.
